What people watch on TV in Afghanistan is tightly controlled by the Taliban, but there’s one channel defying the country’s rules. Amu TV is 24-hour channel run by Afghan refugees in Canada and the U.S.
"We broadcast everything the Taliban do not support and endorse such as objective journalism, music, current affairs shows, even soap operas." Lotfullah Najafizada, one of the founders of Amu TV, said.
As Jeff Semple reports, Amu TV’s most popular program is giving a voice to people living under the Taliban’s rule.
