While it’s partially hidden by trees, piles of garbage and debris are visible outside this West Vancouver property. The district has received dozens of complaints about the Horseshoe Bay home dating back to 2013. A report to council says the clutter is a fire hazard and the vacant home is in poor repair with leaks, mould and a vermin infestation.
"It’s a nightmare," says Horseshoe Bay resident Jennifer Reece. "You could tell that it was kind of like a hoarding situation. But then it just started, you know, exploding out everywhere."
As Kristen Robinson reports, neighbours say they have mixed feelings about the owner of the home.
