Terry Crews says his latest children’s book, "Terry’s Many Hats," is autobiographical, telling TODAY that he wanted to pursue a lot of things as a kid. "I remember wanting to be an athlete, a pro football player, and I wanted to be an accomplished artist at the same time. And I literally was told I had to choose. And I said, ‘I’m not going to choose. In fact, I want to do it all.’" Crews says he believes children should follow all their passions, not just one thing they can do well.

After retiring from the NFL, Crews began his acting career at 31 years old and now has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. "You have to understand, it’s all open. You can do more than you ever thought you could."
