For a while now, I’ve wanted to try mixing gallium and indium metal together by shoving them into each other, where something interesting should happen.
More specifically, they form an alloy that’s liquid at room temperature, and when mixed with tin, they form something called Galinstan. Galinstan is a lot like mercury, and is often used as a less toxic replacement, in things like thermometers.
