U.S. President Donald Trump is set to address the nation from Washington, D.C. on Wednesday evening.

Officials from the White House say the Republican leader will “provide an important update” on the ongoing war in Iran.

The U.S. and Israel launched joint attacks on Iran on Feb. 28, killing the nation’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei.

Trump has repeatedly expressed frustration with U.S. allies refusing to get involved in the war and subsequent efforts to force Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to full international traffic.

The Strait of Hormuz accounts for one-third of the global oil trade and has been closed for weeks, with Iran blockading the key waterway as it exchanges strikes with the U.S. and Israel.
