As Christians around the world marked Easter Sunday, in his first Easter mass as head of the Catholic Church, Pope Leo urged all world leaders to reduce violence and choose peace.
“We are growing accustomed to violence, resigning ourselves to it, and becoming indifferent,” he said.
As Vincent McAviney reports, the pontiff’s message comes as many across the Middle East endured yet another day of strikes.
