‘We will win this election in November’: Shawn Harris remains optimistic about flipping GA-14

From MS NOW.

Democrat Shawn Harris fulfilled the core Democratic strategy of the Trump era of running up the margins – whether winning by more or losing by less than last time. Harris did not manage to beat Republican Clay Fuller in Tuesday’s runoff special election to fill the seat vacated by Fmr. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene in Georgia’s deeply red 14th congressional district. But he improved the Democratic margin by double-digits from 2024. And he plans to do it again in the fall. “With this momentum, we will win this election in November this time,” Harris said. “When Clay gets to DC and does absolutely nothing for the people here in this district, they’re going to say, ‘Okay, enough is enough. We’re tired of red shirts and blue shirts. We’re going to get a leader, and we’re going to send somebody to DC that’s going to stay laser focused on us and make sure that we get the things we need to have here in Northwest Georgia.’”
