What We Get Wrong About Dwarfism

From PBS Voices.

What does it mean to fit in? The award-winning film "The Tallest Dwarf" from Independent Lens takes us on a journey with filmmaker Julie Forrest Wyman as she explores this question. Alongside members of the Little People community, we learn what it means to be on display but never fully seen. We also uncover some of the medical interventions proposed to this community. To continue the converstaion we sat down with Mark Povinelli, who is featured in the documentary, and Peet Montzingo, an online creator and artist, to get their takes on the film, what it’s like to be a part of the little people community, and what stereotypes they hope to never see featured on screen again.
