Adam Savage has seen countless costumes over the years, but those in Cirque du Soleil’s ECHO are particularly impressive given the unique requirements of the performers, not limited to rapidly spinning high above the stage while wearing a battery pack, and executing a headstand on a wire while wearing a paper-style animal mask. Wardrobe assistant Lisa Iler takes Adam through these some of unusual pieces, which balance aesthetics with performer, crew and audience safety.
