Roughly half of global food production depends on chemical fertilizers produced in the Gulf region and shipped through the Strait of Hormuz. As long as the U.S.-Iran war blocks access to the Strait,  delayed shipments will push prices higher and hurt crops. CNBC’s Brandon Gomez dives into what this means for consumers.
