The war in the Middle East sparked by US and Israeli attacks against Iran has shaken the region, but it’s also having major effects thousands of kilometres away on the battlefields of Ukraine. Russia has benefited from global oil prices rising, increasing its profits from its energy sector, but Ukraine has also taken advantage of the conflict, using it to show its expertise in drone defence.
