A lot of personal fans have been advertising online – especially Facebook – so I bought 4 of them to see how they actually work. The fans range from a cheap clip-on model to higher-end handheld and waist fans. I measured wind speed, noise, and real-world performance in the desert heat to see which ones are worth it.
