Ontario Premier Doug Ford says he heard the backlash over the purchase of a private plane, loud and clear.

“I make mistakes, every premier makes mistakes,” Ford said on Monday after he faced a deluge of phone calls complaining about the purchase.

The province revealed the nearly $30M purchase on Friday and announced plans to sell the jet just two days later.

The premier says he recognizes the timing just wasn’t right.
