Nova Scotia Supreme Court rules against 2025 ban on entering the woods

A Nova Scotia man who filed a constitutional challenge against the province says he’s pleased a judge has ruled in his favour.
 
Jeff Evely was issued a $28,000 fine for violating a provincial ban — one that would help prevent wildfires — on most citizens entering the woods last summer.
 
As Global’s Mitchell Bailey reports, one legal analyst says the outcome is not a good look for the province.
