UK Passes Lifelong Smoking Ban for Those Born After 2008

Children 17 years old or younger are now facing a lifetime ban on buying cigarettes in the United Kingdom. The landmark legislation was approved by Parliament on Tuesday and would prohibit anyone born in 2009 or later from ever buying tobacco products, including cigarettes and vapes. The proposal is expected to go into law after formal approval by King Charles.
