The war in Sudan between the army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has entered its fourth year, with the United Nations’ top official in the country calling it an "abandoned" conflict. Despite huge challenges AFP has kept up a presence on the ground, continuing to cover what is the world’s largest humanitarian crisis following massacres, the systematic use of sexual violence and mass displacement.
