From DW News.
Palestinians in Gaza are voting for the first time in more than 20 years — in the midst of war, displacement and devastation. The municipal elections are taking place only in the central city of Deir al‑Balah, alongside local polls in the Israeli‑occupied West Bank. Turnout is low, but for many young Palestinians, this is the first time they have ever been able to cast a ballot — despite deep uncertainty over whether the vote can bring real change.
