Kilauea volcano in Hawaii put on a show on Tuesday, erupting in lava fountains and sending ash and smoke pluming over its openings. The U.S. Geological Survey reported that this marked the volcano’s 43rd episode of lava fountaining. According to the National Weather Service, the smoke plume from this eruption reached 25,000 feet above sea level.
