Mali’s authorities declared two days of national mourning after Defence Minister Sadio Camara was killed in an attack near Bamako that officials blamed on jihadist fighters. The measure was announced on state broadcaster ORTM by government spokesman General Issa Ousmane Coulibaly, who said flags would be flown at half-mast across the country. SOUNDBITE
