A man the CBSA accuses of being a senior Iranian regime member continued arguing why he should be allowed to stay in Canada.
He says his authority was essentially limited to approving vacation requests when his boss was away.
Abbas Omidi was at one point a deputy director general in Iran’s Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade.
He told the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada that his job was technical and focused on exploration.
