Suriname bids farewell to former President Chan Santokhi at a state funeral that brought the capital to a standstill. The former president of Suriname (2020–2025), Chandrikapersad ‘Chan’ Santokhi, who died suddenly on March 30 at the age of 67, will be cremated at the conclusion of a state funeral.
