Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is welcomed at an EU summit in the Cypriot resort town of Ayia Napa by Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Antonio Costa after the EU gave a long-awaited green light to release a 90-billion-euro ($105-billion) loan for Kyiv. After months of wrangling with Hungary, the final sign-off for the loan and a new package of EU sanctions on Russia boosted Zelensky as he touched down for talks with the bloc’s leaders.
