Families of the victims of the Tumbler Ridge, B.C., mass shooting have filed a lawsuit against OpenAI, alleging the company failed to implement better safety measures on its ChatGPT platform. Privacy consultant and lawyer Sharon Bauer says OpenAI did not have a legal obligation to report the shooter’s activity for privacy reasons.
