Four Australian women and nine children returned from Syrian detention camps for the first time since travelling to Syria during the early 2010s, when the Islamic State group declared its self-described caliphate. Three women were arrested in Melbourne on slavery-related charges, while another was arrested in Sydney on charges related to crimes against humanity.
