There are currently 18 people being monitored for hantavirus in US medical facilities, officials said at a press briefing Monday. Seventeen are Americans and one is a British dual-national.

Sixteen of those individuals are at the University of Nebraska — one is in the biocontainment unit after testing positive and 15 are in the quarantine unit. Each of those individuals are currently asymptomatic. They’ve received brief medical assessments, with further assessments planned for later in the day after they’ve had the chance to rest.
