Man shot and killed in northeast Calgary was intended target, 2nd victim innocent bystander

Less than 24 hours into their investigation into a shooting in northeast Calgary, authorities have already been able to provide new and troubling details.

Police say Lesley Cole, 35, who was shot and killed Monday night in the parking lot of the North Hill Co-Op at 520 16 Ave. N.E., was known to police and was also the intended target.

A second man, who was shot and needed surgery today, was an innocent bystander.
