Artemis II crew holds press conference after historic 10-day NASA lunar mission | FULL

From Global News.

On Thursday, NASA’s Artemis II crew — commander Reid Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover, and mission specialists Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen — detailed their historic 10-day lunar mission in their first news conference since returning to Earth last Friday.

In opening remarks at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Tex., Wiseman said, “When we came home, we were shocked at the global outpouring of support, of pride, of ownership of this mission. And really, I think at the beginning, that’s what the four of us wanted. We wanted to go out and try to do something that would bring the world together to unite the world.”

“We launched as friends and we came back as best friends,” Wiseman added.

Hansen – the first Canadian astronaut to both travel beyond low Earth orbit and to the vicinity of the Moon — talked about the “mind-blowing” experience of seeing what he described as the “depth to the galaxy,” noting it was a “powerful feeling” that simultaneously made him feel “infinitesimally small.”

The four also offered advice to future Artemis crew members – whose goal would be to land on the moon again — with Wiseman claiming another moon landing is not only “absolutely doable,” but “doable soon.”
