From Global News.
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre was at the Canadian Club in Toronto on Thursday, where he detailed his roadmap for Canada’s economy in the future.
Poilievre said he wants Canada to remain a free-market economy, and based his economic roadmap on what he called "the four-fold pillars": namely, affordable and abundant energy, low inflation in taxes, free-market competition, and national self-defence.
He said Conservatives would get rid of "all taxes" on gas "at least for the rest of the year."
"A future conservative government will keep spending low and keep money strong" by cutting back foreign aid, corporate welfare, and handouts to "false refugees," he added.
Poilievre went on to enumerate other steps a future Conservative government would take, including cutting red tape and development charges and investing in home building.
