Israel destroyed a key bridge in Lebanon that connected the south to the rest of the country as it promised that its military operation against the militant group Hezbollah "has only begun."

Lebanon’s president called the targeting of bridges a “dangerous escalation” and a “prelude to a ground invasion.”
