The Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) is warning hospitalizations are rising for vaccine-preventable respiratory diseases.

The CIHI’s report says there were 142 such hospital admissions for every 100,000 residents from 2024 to 2025, more than double compared to pre-pandemic levels.
