Two Air Canada pilots are dead after their flight originating from Montreal collided with a fire truck at New York’s LaGuardia Airport.

The collision late Sunday night killed the pilot and co-pilot, who were both based out of Canada.

Authorities said around 40 passengers and crew members aboard the flight were hospitalized, some with serious injuries. Two Port Authority employees were also injured.
