NTSB press conference: LaGuardia plane crash investigation slowed by DHS shutdown, long TSA lines

Two pilots are dead and dozens of people are injured after an Air Canada Express jet collided with a fire truck on a runway at New York’s LaGuardia airport late on Sunday, March 22, officials said. National Transportation Safety Board Chair ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Jennifer Homendy said that long TSA lines at airports across the country have prevented investigators from arriving to LaGuardia quickly.

Homendy also said investigators recovered the flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder.
