Fort McMurray 10 years after devastating wildfire

From Global News.

Sunday marked 10 years since the people of Fort McMurray, Alta., experienced the costliest natural disaster in Canadian history. A fast-moving wildfire raced through the city causing widespread damage and panic with 88,000 people forced to evacuate.

“I know if a fire happened here again, I would not come back,” said Amber Lecky, a resident who’s home was destroyed in 2016.

A decade later, Fort McMurray is still being rebuilt. Erin Chalmers reports on what’s changed and what still needs to be done.
