Golden Tempo claimed Saturday’s Kentucky Derby and made history, as trainer Cherie DeVaux became the first woman to ever prep the winner of America’s most famous horse race.

DeVaux joined TODAY for an exclusive interview, and shared how she feels about making history. "I consider myself a horse trainer, and I just happen to be a female. But it’s quite an honor to be the first female trainer to win a Kentucky Derby."
