From Global News.
After ramping up the political temperature at Queen’s Park, NDP leader Marit Stiles says she has nothing to apologize for after she made heated remarks.
“Maybe you won’t get another mandate cause you’ll be in prison, Doug,” Stiles remarked recently.
She also said, “I think I’m saying out loud what a lot of people are saying quietly, that this is a premier and a government who have to answer to the people.”
“Well that Trump style rhetoric is unacceptable as far as I’m concerned. It’s not about me, it’s about the rhetoric that happens down here at Queen’s Park and outside of Queen’s Park,” Ontario Premier Doug Ford said Tuesday. “We aren’t going to lower ourselves to the Trump-style rhetoric that she’s spieling right now.”
As Colin D’Mello reports, Ford has also been accused of raising the rhetoric in the legislature where he once likened former NDP leader Andrea Horwath to ‘nails on a chalkboard.’
