Shane McAnally, Brandy Clark and Josh Osborne made the list as a trio of Nashville writers who often collaborate on some of country’s best songs. They sat down with the critic Jody Rosen to talk about how co-writing works, songwriting as a day job, and the art of telling simple truths in a single line.
