Moscow’s deportation of Ukrainian children is a "calculated Russian attack on Ukraine’s future," says the EU’s chief of diplomacy Kaja Kalles, as the bloc imposes sanctions on 23 Russian state institutions and officials responsible for the transfer. In a statement, the EU has said that Russia has "deported and forcibly transferred nearly 20,500 Ukrainian children." SOUNDBITE
