Hundreds of drivers stranded on an Alberta highway have finally been freed after a spring snowstorm caused chaos on the roads.
Violent winds uprooted trees and ripped roofs off buildings, while up to 50 centimetres of snow created white-out conditions.
Katherine Ludwig spoke to drivers stuck in the storm.
