Amnesty International has raised concerns about what it describes as an alarming housing crisis in Indigenous communities across Canada.

The organization highlights one village in Quebec as a clear example of a community in urgent need of attention.

Its findings are detailed in a report released Wednesday. The report points to systematic racism and colonialism as the root cause of many of the problems.

Indigenous leaders hope the document will finally get politicians to recognize the urgency of the situation.
