The slow growth in the number of tigers in Bangladesh’s Sundarbans, despite years of conservation work, is stoking fears that the world’s largest mangrove forest may one day lose its apex predator. The big cats face pressure from habitat loss, poaching and climate change. Activist Abdul Goni Gazi devotes his life to protecting the creatures, claiming to have saved Bengal tigers from traps and humans from their jaws.
