From TODAY.
Geoff Bennett, co-anchor of PBS Newshour, joins TODAY to share his new book “Black Out Loud: The Revolutionary History of Black Comedy from Vaudeville to ‘90s Sitcoms,” about Black comedians’ pivotal role in shaping the American sense of humor. Bennett also discusses how the 1990s showcased a golden era with iconic sitcoms like “Martin” and sketch comedy like “In Living Color,” saying, “As far as I’m concerned the ‘90s were the best decade.
