U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and officials with the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) are set to provide an update Monday, after a deadly crash involving an Air Canada jet at LaGuardia Airport in New York.

The pilot and co-pilot, based out of Canada, were both killed after the plane collided with a fire truck during landing on Sunday night.

Authorities say around 40 passengers and crew members aboard the flight were hospitalized, some with serious injuries. Two Port Authority employees who were travelling in the fire truck were also injured.

The flight originated at Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport.
