Breaking news out of Calgary as a man has been charged with first-degree murder after the bodies of his two children were found inside his vehicle Thursday morning. The 37-year-old suspect appeared in court on Friday and police say he is the father of the victims: a 5-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl. They’re believed to have been killed on Wednesday, the night before the discovery.
As we head into the weekend, there will be more pain at the pumps with yet another price hike Friday as global oil prices reached a four-year high — all connected to the conflict in the Middle East. The federal government scrapped the excise tax, but as Heidi Petracek reports, the relief has been brief and prices are likely to keep rising.
