U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth holds a press conference at the Pentagon on April 16, 2026 in Arlington, Virginia. Hegseth was joined by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine and Adm. Brad Cooper, the leader of U.S. Central Command. The men spoke about the war between the United States and Israel against Iran as negotiations continue toward a longer-term agreement between the countries.
