Protests on the Iran war began at Capitol Hill with flags stating "End the war on Iran."

The United States is nearing two months of the war, and recently has maintained a blockade of Iranian ports, while Iran has lifted and then reimposed its own blockade on marine traffic passing through the Strait of Hormuz, which typically handles roughly one-fifth of the world’s oil supply.

Iran said it would retaliate against the U.S. seizing an Iranian cargo ship that President Donald Trump said attempted to break the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, once again putting negotiations on shaky ground. The fragile ceasefire between US and Iran is approaching its Wednesday expiration date.
