The Department of Justice holds a briefing after the man accused of opening fire at the White House correspondents’ dinner, an annual black-tie gathering of journalists and politicians where Donald Trump was present, was charged with attempting to assassinate the U.S. president. Cole Tomas Allen, 31, of Torrance, California, could face a ‌potential life sentence if convicted.
