From BBC News.
Minecraft is becoming a real‑life theme park.
A new £50 million land called Minecraft World is being built at Chessington World of Adventures, bringing the game’s biomes, mobs and adventures into the real world for the first time.
The land will feature the world’s first Minecraft rollercoaster, a fully immersive walk‑into‑the‑game experience, and the largest Minecraft retail store anywhere. Mojang says the project is part of expanding Minecraft beyond the game, following the huge success of the Minecraft movie.
Georgia Levy-Collins from Newsbeat speaks to the people behind the project to find out how it came together, what fans can expect in 2027, and why Merlin welcomes competition from Universal Studios UK.
