The details of the next phase of talks between the US and Iran remain unclear. Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman says it has "no plans for the next round" of negotiations in Islamabad. Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian says that "Iranians do not submit to force" and that Iran has a "deep historical mistrust" of the US government, which still remains, adding that "honouring commitments" must be the "basis of meaningful dialogue".
A source has told the BBC that a US delegation headed by Vice-President JD Vance will travel to Pakistan "soon" and President Trump has been quoted as saying he assumes that at this point "nobody’s playing games". The ceasefire agreement between the US Israel and Iran ends on Wednesday.
