From Global News.
Prime Minister Mark Carney was in Ottawa Tuesday to address the press after winning three byelections Monday, making it a historic win. It marks the first time in Canada’s history that a federal government has switched from a minority to a majority government between elections.
Carney said the Liberals accept the support of Canadians "with humility, determination and a clear understanding of what this moment demands for our country."
In response to a journalist’s question, Carney said Canadians can expect “more substance” and less “showboating” from the federal government after securing a majority.
“Canadians want government to govern, to take action on immediate concerns,” he said, adding that the federal government would move to address issues such as affordability.
