Former reality TV star Spencer Pratt, known as the antagonist villain in “The Hills,” is now running for mayor of Los Angeles. In a now viral new campaign ad, Pratt, who lost his home in the Palisades fire last year, slams the current Mayor Karen Bass and his other Democratic challenger for the city’s handling of the historic disaster. The ad racked up more than 10 million views in just 24 hours and is now helping the 42-year-old with no political experience gain some traction in the race. NBC’s Liz Kreutz reports for TODAY.
